GENIN LUCIEN (1894 / 1958)
Born November 9, 1894 in Rouen / Died in 1953 in Paris.
Urban landscape painter, gouache painter, watercolorist, pastelist, draftsman, post-impressionist.
Lucien Génin was first a student at the School of Fine Arts in Rouen, then in 1919 he was admitted to the School of Decorative Arts in Paris.
In 1932 Lucien Génin received a prize from the Art Institute of Chicago. In 1960 a personal exhibition of his works was organized in Paris.
Lucien Génin painted in oil and gouache.
Lucien Génin received very comprehensive training, but developed a personal technique full of spontaneity with an innocent look at the simple things in life.
Lucien Génin mainly painted in Paris, but some views of Rouen, Lorient, Dinan, Marseille and Villefranche-sur-mer are worth noting.
