TIMMERMANS Louis Etienne Born in 1846 in Brussels / Died in 1910 in Paris.
Painter of landscapes, waterscapes, seascapes, watercolorist.
Louis Etienne TIMMERMANS was a student at the Brussels Academy and the Paris School of Fine Arts.
He exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français in Paris, obtaining an honorable mention in 1904.
Louis Etienne TIMMERMANS worked mainly in France, painting seascapes, views of ports and the quays of the Seine in Paris.
Louis Etienne TIMMERMANS was particularly sensitive to the atmosphere of small fishing ports which he painted with precise realism.
Louis Etienne TIMMERMANS brings back landscapes from a stay in Holland where he lyrically plays with light and water.
