GUILLEMER Ernest (1839 / 1913)

- Categories : Default

Landscape painter.

E. Guillemer brushes in a shimmering, enameled palette that catches the light well from the views of the Normandy countryside near Dieppe.

He also works on the banks of the Seine.

But it is above all the landscapes of the Forest of Fontainebleau that he prefers.

He draws his motifs from clearings, majestic trees or ponds sheltered by tall forests.

He exhibited regularly at the salon from 1864 to 1890.

Museums: Brest, Tourcoing.
